Student Success Statement
“They’re only truly great who are truly
good”
George Chapman
Reflection: I agree with what George
Chapman is saying in this quote. You can’t call a person great if they aren’t choosing
the right or they are bad people. An example that I can give about this is if there
is a really good basketball player. If
you see a very good basketball player in television and you admire him and call
him a great person but he uses drugs or he uses steroids to be a good athlete
he is not a great player after all. By cheating it doesn’t make you a great
person it just makes you a person that should be ashamed of them and shouldn’t get
recognition for choosing the wrong. On the other hand if there is a really good
basketball player and he chooses the right and goes by the rules he is a great
athlete. That athlete should get good recognition.
