“Kindness is the great essence of greatness.”

Reflection: I agree with what Joseph is saying in this quote. He is saying that without kindness there is no greatness. For example you can be a good person that doesn’t do anything bad and follows directions all the time. But if you have a problem with not being kind to people and acting mean to them then that turns you from a good person to a bad one. In the other hand if you are kind to people and you are nice to everybody you are already a winner. By being kind you are choosing the right.
          Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving is celebrated in the United States and Canada. It is celebrated as a day to give thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. In the United States it is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. In Canada it is celebrated on the second Monday of October. Thanksgiving Day is usually celebrated by having a huge feast in a family. In the feasts the food that is usually used is an oven roasted turkey.
There are many things that people use and make in the thanksgiving dinner. Some of the most popular that are used are the turkey, pumpkin pie, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and ham. One big event that happens to celebrate thanksgiving is the huge thanksgiving parade made every year special for thanksgiving.

I am thankful for many things but these are the top 12 things that I am thankful for.

* I am thankful for having a place where to live.
*I am thankful for having good health.
*I am thankful for having the opportunity to get an education
*I am thankful for having food every day in my table to eat.
*I am thankful for having clothes and shoes to wear.
*I am thankful for having my both parents living with me.
*I am thankful for having a mom and a dad alive.
*I am thankful for having everything I need when I need it.
*I am thankful that I have nothing missing like a (leg, arm, eye, etc.)
* I am thankful that I am able to choose what I want to do in my life.
* I am thankful that I have two smaller brothers that I love so much.
* At last I am thankful for all the people that I can look up to.
As you can see I am thankful for many things and I am happy with how my life is now and in this thanksgiving I am going to appreciate whatever I have and give thanks for everything.

“If it’s not right do not do it;

If it’s not true do not say it.”

Marcus Aurelius

Reflection: In my opinion I agree with Marcus Aurelius. I agree that if you start thinking and you come up with a crazy idea that you know is not right the right thing to do is to stop thinking about it and not do it. For example if someone offers you to ditch class and go smoke you are not going to be dumb enough to not know that is something bad. You know that the right thing to do there is to not go. Also if it’s not true don’t say it. Sometimes there are some people that want to start talking things that aren’t true. Some people may go along with it but you know that the right thing to do there is to not listen and don’t say anything that will cause problems for other people.
            Dental Assistant

Duties and responsibilities: A dental assistant is required to do many tasks like interpersonal and technical skills. They have to assist the dentist during treatment procedures .They may also have to develop dental radiographs A.K.A. ( X -Rays ). They have to attend the patient by asking them their medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse. They are the ones who have to prepare and/or sterilize instruments and equipment.

Salary: $23,000-$35,000

Education: To be a dental assistant you don’t need special education. Some dental assistants only have a high school diploma. To become a dental assistant you are required to take a dental assisting program. Some programs are only 1-year long to get your certificate.  You may also take a 2-yeas associates degree program as well. This program combines general education, technical training, and more extensive clinical practicums.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

In my point of view I don’t think that I would want to be a dental assistant. The reason why I wouldn't want to be one is because a dental assistant is not a really big deal. Dental assistants are just like helpers and aren't really important. I would want to be something more important like the actual dentist or a doctor.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?

I think that I would want to be a Dental lab technician. The reason why I think this is because I think that to become one you don’t need a lot of education. This career pays well and it is in the medical field which is something that I want to do. Also there was a time when I wanted to become a dentist or a dentist assistant so I think that I would be interested in a career like this.

“It may make a difference to all eternity whet her we do right or wrong today.”
                    James Freeman Clark

Reflection: I agree with what james is saying in this quote.I think that if we do something really bad one day it might affect you later on in life.If we start choosing the wrong since we are young we might end up doing the same when we are older.

“Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.”

Chick Moorman

For example: Honesty and victory

Reflection: I agree with what Chick Moorman is saying in this quote. I think that I wouldn’t consider a winner if he or she is not doing the right and fair. For example if a person is playing a game and they cheat or they do something wrong while playing it and that causes them to win they are not considered a winner. That would be choosing the wrong and that wouldn’t be fair to themselves or others. They would not be honored for choosing the wrong. In the other hand if a person chooses the right and goes by the rules but they lose the game people would see the like winners. They would see them like that because they chose the right and they played fair. People are going to honor them.

         Student success statement

1. Have the courage to say no.
2. Have the courage to face the truth.
3. Do the right thing because it is right.
These are the 3 magic keys to living your life with integrity.”

              W. Clement Stone

Reflection: I agree with this. The reason why I agree with this is because a life without doing these things is bad. If you never have the courage to say no you are going to make really bad decisions in life. If you never learn to say no people are going to boss you around or tell you what to do. If you don’t have the courage to face the truth you would always have a fear to knowing the truth. Finally if you don’t do the right things in life a lot of bad things are going to fall on you. If you don’t choose the right 24/7 you may make some pretty bad decisions that you will regret in the future.
    Integrity
1. Definition: Integrity is when you are honest or you have strong moral principles. Someone that has honesty and honor.
Words that mean the same: honesty, probity, rectitude, honor, righteousness, truthfulness.
Examples: A person who chooses the right has integrity.
A person who doesn't, lie, drink alcohol, or do drugs has integrity.
People who mind their own business have integrity.
A person who does what they are supposed to do and don’t break the rules have integrity.
People who give good advice or tell someone who choose the right have integrity.
People who don’t use bad language at all have integrity.

Chicken or Eagle?

“ If you hang out with chickens, you’re going to cluck ,and if you hang out with eagles ,you’re going to fly.”

-Steve Maraboli, Unapologetic ally you: Reflections on life and the human experience

            Student Success Statement

He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

Reflection: I agree with this quote. The people who decide to hang out or be with good people that choose the right, don’t do drugs, or bad things are the smart people. Those types of people are the ones who are going to get you in many problems and are not going to let you be a good person. Those kinds of people are the ones who lead you through the bad steps in life. Although in the other hand the people who chose the right things to do and are responsible and have a good record are the people who are going to help you in life. You are going to get a great example out of them and they are going to encourage you to be like them. For example, the fools are the ones who aren’t going to do anything good in life and the wise are the ones who would rule the world.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one?
I think that I wouldn't want to become a movement therapist. One of the reasons why I wouldn't want to become one is because I don’t think that I would get the job. I don’t know how the dance at all and I don’t think that I would want to dance or perform for a living. I am more interested in getting a career that is more into the medical things like a doctor or a nurse.
