                               Final: Part 1

Many things in this class where interesting. I liked how we would learn so many things about careers in the medical field.
The only thing that i disliked about this class was that sometimes it got too quite and peaceful and i would almost fall asleep.
To improve this class i recommend that we should get a chance to look for our own quotes and write a statement on our own.
I did do my best in this class i did all my assignments the way it was supposed to be done.
I do try to read my goals book everyday but there is some times where i forget.
I am committed to being a CTR person because i know that if i am a CTR person i will succeed in life.
Things that i will always remember about this class is the CTR song played every single day before we leave home.

The Ultimate Choice

Of all choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others- the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions. This one choice, The Ultimate Choice, is your keystone to being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice. THE ULTIMATE CHOICE IS:

To be a CTR Person- to always CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!

Reflection: I agree with this statement. The ultimate best choice is to choose the right and it will always be the best choice. Choosing the wrong would only bring you more problems into your life. In the other hand if you always choose the right instead of bringing problems into your life it may solve many problems that you already have or you won’t have problems at all if you choose the right. By choosing the right you will have better grades and your life would be way better than the life of the people who choose the wrong. You will have everything that you want.

“Success is not an accident. Success is actually a choice. Are the habits you have today on par with the dreams you have tomorrow?

                                                                                     Alan Stein

Reflection: I think that success is actually a choice. Success it’s not something that happens just because you have to try your best to achieve whatever you want. The habits that you have today will par with the dreams you have tomorrow. When you really want something you have to start trying to achieve as soon as possible. If you really want to do something and you start practicing it and trying your best now it will help you achieve your dream in the future. For example if you want to become a professional basketball player and you start preparing yourself more than anyone else and you look forward to sacrifice some things and do you best on what you want you will achieve it fast.

“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder.”
                          Thomas Carlyle

Reflection: I agree with this statement by Thomas Carlyle. A rudder is what helps control the ship without a rudder the ship would go wherever it wants and you would never get to the place that you want to get. In life it is good to have a goal because with a goal in mind you will dedicate all your life to achieving something that you really want. For example if your goal is to graduate from college and get  s career you will dedicate all your time to achieving something that you want and would change your life completely. In the other hand if you have no idea what you want to do in life you might end up being a fraud and waste your whole life in something you don’t want to do.

              Beautiful Character
If there is beauty in character, there will be harmony in the home. If there is harmony in the home, there will be order in the nation, there will be peace in the world. Conclusion: If there is beauty in character, there will be peace in the world.
                      Chinese proverb
Reflection: I agree with this proverb. If there is beauty in character there will be harmony in home. I agree with this because if a person has a nice heart and there is no violence or hate in the people everything would turn out to be beautiful and peaceful. In the other hand in the other hand if there is hate between people and they decide to kill others or harm others in different ways then there would be no peace at all and everything would end up horrible.

                 Character Counts
          “The six pillars of character”
Research online:
Go online and research “The six pillars of character”

The six pillars of character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.

“ I would prefer to fail with honor than win by cheating.”
                                  Sophocles

Reflection: I agree with this statement it is better to fail with honor than to win by cheating. If you didn’t study on a test and you copy your partner and get a good score you didn’t actually win. It is bad to take advantage of someone else when they did all the work and you did nothing. I don’t think that anyone should do that and if you do the consequences show up at the end.

“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.”

                          Wilford Woodruff
Reflection: I agree with what Wilford woodruff is saying in this quote. The reason why I agree is because you will never gain anything if you choose the wrong. On the other and if you choose the right you may gain many things. For example, if you choose the right you will gain self-esteem, respect form yourself and respect from others people will look at you in a good way. On the other hand if you choose the wrong people will look at you in a bad way and you will lose self-esteem and many people will stay away from you or consequences always come later.

Video reflection: Eric Smallridge is a guy who one day decided to drink and drive. He was driving past the speed limit when he crashed into a car where two girls by the names of Megan and Lisa who were 20 years old. Eric was sentenced to 22 years in prison for this and he thought he did deserve it. Megan’s mom Renee was really mad at Eric for what he had done but thought that being mad at a person wasn’t going to help her so she decided to forgive Eric. Renee talked to the judge and told him that she wants him to cut Eric’s jail time in half and he did. Eric knew that what he had done caused many problems and he deserved to be in jail. Since then Eric and Renee talk in schools to teach kids about drunk driving.

“When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive.”
                             Alan Paton
Forgive: to stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for an offense, flaw, or mistake.

Reflection: I agree with Alan’s statement. The reason why I agree is because I know that when someone does something to me I don’t stop thinking about it or I will be mad with that person for a really long time. The only way that I stop thinking about what they did to me or i stop being mad at them is when I forgive them. In the instant that I forgive someone I know that whatever they did to me is in the past and I won’t be mad anymore.

       “Dare to stand alone.”
            Thomas S. Monson

Reflection: I think that Thomas s. monsoon is trying to make a point in this dare. When you see that a group of people are doing something bad like your friends it is better to get away from them as soon as possible. It is better to be alone and have no friends than to be in serious danger than can bring harsh consequences in the future. The people who will try to make you do something that you are not supposed to or something that will hurt you are not the people you should be hanging out with. It is way better to take your own path in life and be someone who is better than they will ever be.

“In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”
                            Theodore Roosevelt

Reflection: I agree with what Theodore Roosevelt is saying in this quote. If someone tells you to choose between two things you always have to try to think before you choose something. The first thing that should go through your head is if whatever you are going to choose is the right thing to choose. You have to be careful in choosing the right and in choosing the wrong. For example if you are running late to work and you think if I break the rules and I go a little faster I might get there in time. You should always rethink what you are going to do before doing it and think about the consequences that it might bring.

Life planning progress post

I have achieved 48 goals out of 200 goals. I haven't really achieved really big or interesting goals. Most of the goals that i have achieved are goals like buying my first nirvana shirt ( my favorite band) Trying my first soft pretzel. I really like that goal because i remember that i have trying to achieve that goal for a really long time and i hadn't have the chance to achieve it but when i did i felt so happy and disappointed because i realized that i had been missing that for a long time. I'm really looking forward to accomplish goal number 162 because i really want to join a sport with the bestie. I've been wanting to join a sport for a really long time and hopefully i can do it soon with her.

Dr. Bob

Video Reflection: I think that doctor Bob from New York is a very generous and kind man. Not many people would do what he does. According to the video doctor bob is a doctor who doesn’t really help people for the money he has no salary. Doctor Bob helps his patients and anybody that needs his help because he wants to because he is a generous man who doesn’t care about the money and only cares about helping others. I think that doctor Bob is teaching us a great lesson because there should be more people like this we should think about others and not only ourselves. Doctor Bob only gets money from donations given by the people.

“Make each day your masterpiece. You have to apply yourself each day to become a little better, and over a period of time you become a lot better.”
John Wooden,
UCLA

Reflection: In my opinion I agree with what John wooden is saying in this quote. If you try your hardest to do something or accomplish a goal that you have set in your life you have to try your hardest every day to accomplish that goal. You might have a goal that is not able to be accomplished until a long time but if you push yourself every day you will accomplish your goal in a smaller amount of time. You should always use every day to your fullest if you want to see bigger results faster.

I think that I wouldn’t want to be a dentist from the military. The reason why I wouldn’t want to be one is because I don’t know how much you get paid for doing it. I think that it would be a good opportunity and something very good to do because of all the compensations but I would have to think about it.

Video reflection: In this video it shows how doing something good for another person can change someone else’s life. Sara is a girl who plays softball for western Oregon. Sara had never hit a home run before in her life and in this occasion she hit the ball over the fence. When Sara ran to home she hurt her foot and want able to finish the home run there was no way her team was able to help her. Two really helpful and kind girls from the other team by the names of Mallory and Liz decided to help her finish the homerun by carrying her all the way to home. What they did was something really kind and they chose to do something that would make another person happy they weren’t selfish at all and the thought about Sara and not themselves. This really touched my heart and it really showed character from the opposite team.

“It’s a great moment when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time.”

                             Pam Knox
                      Head softball coach western Oregon

Reflection: In my opinion I think that Pam Knox is right with what she is saying in this statement. I think that if someone steps up and does the right thing at the right time they are great people. Some people are always doing what all the other people do. If there is a huge fight you may see many people joining the fight. There can be thousands of people doing what’s wrong and thousands of other people joining them if you are a person who decides to not be influenced by others and chooses to do the right that person is a great person.

“A promise must never be broken.”

Reflection: I agree with this quote by Alexander Hamilton. I also think that a promise should never be broken because sometimes you may trust a person on telling them you biggest secrets and they might promise to not say anything and they brake their promise that is the worst thing that you can do. When you break a promise people stop trusting you and they would never be open minded in front of you because they know that you aren’t a trustworthy person. By breaking promises you show that you are a really bad person and you start losing friends and people you like. Breaking a promise is something you should never do if you ask me.

Reflection: What this quote means is that if you set a goal to be something or be a certain way you would most likely be the way you see yourself. If you see yourself as a teacher in the future then you would most likely be a teacher in the future because you are setting a goal to do something and you would accomplish it. In my 100+ goals I put things that I would want to do in the future. I put things that I want to see myself do and I will accomplish it. You see yourself as you want to be seen.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”

                           Henry David Thoreau

Reflection: I agree with what Henry David is saying in this statement. The reason why I also think this is true is because I don’t see how you can get in trouble or have problems when you are doing the right thing. When you do something good it never fails. For example if you do something bad like drugs or something like that it will end up as something bad in the future it will bring consequences in your life.

“My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they are popular; you make them because they are right.”

                                Theodore Hesburgh

Reflection: I think this statement by Theodore Hesburgh is giving a correct message. When you are going to make a decision you don t have to be forced to make the bad decisions. You should always think about what you are going to do and then make the good decision. For example if someone comes up to you and they tell you to smoke with them you know that this may make you a cool person and others will look at you better but you also know that it is not the correct thing to do. If you look at that person and you tell them that you want to choose the right and not do what others want you to do they make look at you like a boring and an unfair person but you know that you are choosing the right.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?
I think that I wouldn’t want to have this career forever but I think that I would want a job like this to start with. Later on I would want to do something that would pay more and would be more advanced than just a nurse that takes care of people. They do have a pretty fair salary so I think that I would want to do this for a while.
